Lilacs-An Easy Plant To Grow

Plants & Trees at Highland Hill Farm

Two words come to my mind when I think about lilacs: versatile, and durabile. These flowering shrubs have many uses in the home landscape. They are used as a corner planting.

French Lilac in full bloom The soft delicate flowers of lilacs are on some of the toughest plants. Lilacs can survive to -60 degrees f. Many peoples thoughts of lilacs go back to their Grandma's and Pa's house where plants only survived if they could be neglected. They bear old memories for lilacs have been with us for years. Pruning these plants is all that is needed to keep them in shape. These plants range in size from 3' to 10' and come in many colors such as purple,magenta,blue,white, and violet. We usally have a large selection for you to choose from.

On our farms we raise and sell nursery stock from seedlings to large caliber trees. We also offer infomation on the web ABOUT SEEDLINGS , and how to CARE for seedlings and nursery stock. If you buy your seedling from us you will have access to the free use of our planters.We have three types available for use and have had years of experience in planting seedlings. Our PLANTING EQUIPTMENT is located in Doylestown and Milan Pa. We are dedicated to helping you with your plant needs. You will find ARTICLES we have written to help you and explain how we do what we do. We will be glad to assist you. We welcome everyone to come to our farm, if we have time we will give you a tour and show you how we built up our nursery.
